Cookie policy.
What this website stores in your browser, and how to change it.
Last updated 5 August 2026
The short version
- The RaLHF app uses no cookies and does not track you. This page is about the website only
- A few cookies are needed for the site to work, including the one remembering your choice here
- Analytics only measure you if you accept them, and declining costs you nothing
- The newsletter signup loads either way, so the form is there when you want it. It does not feed our reporting
- You can change your mind at any time
What cookies are
Small text files a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between visits, such as whether you accepted analytics.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the website to work and cannot be turned off. They include the cookie that records your consent choice so we stop asking, and cookies that keep you signed in to your account if you have one. They do not track you across other sites.
The newsletter signup
The signup form is embedded from MailerLite, our email provider, and it loads on every visit rather than waiting for you to accept cookies. It used to wait, which meant anyone who declined found an empty gap where the form should be, and the newsletter is how we tell people when RaLHF supports another AI or reaches mobile.
Loading it means your browser contacts MailerLite, which sees your IP address and browser, and MailerLite stores an id, the page you are on and a count of pages you have viewed. We do not read that counter or report on it, and it is kept separate from analytics. You can see the full list in cookie settings, and clearing your browser storage removes it. Nothing is sent to us unless you type an address and submit the form.
Analytics cookies, only with consent
If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people find useful and where the site is confusing. This collects information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and how you arrived. Until you accept, analytics are held switched off: no analytics cookies are set and nothing that identifies you is stored, though Google does receive a basic signal that a page was viewed, without any identifier attached. If you decline or later withdraw consent, the analytics cookies are cleared.
Google processes this data on our behalf. Their handling of it is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
What we do not do
- No advertising cookies
- No selling of any data collected here
- No cookies in the desktop app
Changing your choice
Use the cookie settings link in the footer at any time, or clear cookies through your browser. Every browser also lets you block cookies entirely, though strictly necessary cookies are needed for parts of the site to work properly.
